36 plants in a tray is MVG’s standard. This provides adequate room to develop healthy foliage and substantial roots for most varieties.  Bedding Geraniums and African Marigolds are grown in larger cells with fewer plants per tray because of the room they require to become well developed. There are many uses for this size plant and they are the most economical to purchase.

These are the most popular size for our specialty annuals providing a more mature plant with more branching and a larger root system for rapid take-off in the garden or planter.

Some varieties are just too vigorous to grow in a smaller container.  Most of the vines and some geraniums are grown in this size pot so they are full and well branched and either loaded with flowers or nearly ready to bloom. 

Our earth-friendly baskets are used for most of our hanging gardens. These sturdy containers are made of recycled paper and are a dark brown color which show cases the plant in earthy tones.  Since this basket holds 1/3 more potting soil, the plants are easier to maintain requiring less frequent watering. A major benefit is that the basket can be used for 2 seasons and then composted rather than filling up the landfill with petroleum based plastic containers.

Our moss baskets come in various sizes and are truly a garden in and of themselves.  They will provide color all summer long, just add water.

Containers are brought in by customers for replanting by our “design team”.  Various color themes are followed and planted early so that the planters are ready for your garden as soon as the weather is warm.
